CLICK HERE to find out how YOU can take the first step towards becoming a Virtual Real Estate Investor!

Everyone seems to be on the Pre-Foreclosure bandwagon nowadays, but in my opinion it is a little bit like buying a stock at the peak - everyone wants in and it is making it tougher for anyone who isn’t an insider or an expert to make a buck!

Of ALL the Foreclosure Gurus, there are really only 2 I can recommend: Financial Health Coach and our very own Cory Boatright.

In my opinion, the smart Real Estate Investor is embracing the new reality of REI - Virtual Investing. What are YOU waiting for?

How come you haven’t registered for the tele-training & webinar I am hosting tonight? The title of this training is “Adapt or Perish” and I will teach you why I (and many others) believe that Real Estate Investing as we have known it is DEAD … or at least it will be within the next 12 months. The Real Estate Investors who don’t adapt will become extinct.

The Law of Natural Selection (Survival of the Fittest) doesn’t let you survive just because you weren’t aware of the changes … it wipes out those of a species who can’t adapt to environmental changes. Nature doesn’t care if you mean well, if you are a “good” person, or if you have a family to feed. If there is a predator (or better Real Estate Investor) out there you will be left with the scraps … or sorse yet, NO DEALS.

If you think that I am being dramatic, sensational, or “hyping” things up that’s fine. The Law of Natural Selection still applies.

Burying your head under the sand doesn’t keep the natural progression of Real Estate Investing from happening.

This webinar will educate you on exactly what you need to do to prepare for the massive changes in our industry that are right around the corner. Register for it HERE:

This training is TONIGHT, Jan 24 at 900pm EST/600pm PST and is available to the first 300 investors who register.

Adapting to the Change,

As we get closer to the Virtual Investing Seminar (Feb 28 - Mar 2), I thought it would be appropriate for me to help everyone start to get some momentum in their Virtual Real Estate Iinvesting (whether you are attending the seminar or not).

So, when someone mentions internet “real estate” they are talking about your URL (aka Domain Name). This is your “home” on the web. It is essentially your address so if someone wants to find out what you have for sale, who you are, hear some testimonials from clients, etc they have to know where to go. And if you don’t have a domain name yet you’d better hurry  - they are getting snapped up like crazy and a lot of the good “addresses” will be gone in the next 12 months!

Luckily, I created this short video to explain exactly what YOU need to do to get some internet “real estate” ASAP:

EasyHUD in Times Square

Greetings from Times Square!

I don’t know what rock I’ve been hiding under, but I’m glad that Mike Collins of RehabList.com told me about the Inman Real Estate Connect Conference! This conference has a tagline of “Where Real Estate Meets Technology” which gave me a hint that this was the perfect place for someone (like me) who is interested in the rapidly growing trend of Virtual Real Estate Investing.

The reason I haven’t heard of this conference is because it is more taiored to Realtors and those who service the more traditional Real Estate paradigm. I’ve been networking like crazy but haven’t yet found another “creative” real estate investor which is indicative of the fact that there just isn’t really much knowledge exchange between our world and their world.

On the first day of the event, I picked up some incredible insight into how this camp is using blogs to build buyers lists, sell properties, to brand themselves and to disseminate news on the various markets the bloggers are familiar with. My biggest takeaway from that session was that realtors are becoming more tech savvy and I’m surprised how quickly they are embracing new technology and how they are finding ways to use technology to MAKE MORE MONEY. No offense to you if you are a realtor, but I kinda always looked at realtors as if they just didn’t “get it” and that we creative real estate investors were on the cutting edge, employing the smartest strategies and leaving the realtors in the dust when it came to dollars earned per transaction.

Well, these guys aren’t the dinosaurs I had imagined.

This is the 12th (!!) year that this conference has been going on and there are probably 1000+ attednees here. They have some HUGE names in the tech world here to speak (Craig Newmark, founder of CraigsList.com for example) and some HUGE names in the traditional RE world as well. How come nothing like this exists for US? I mean, if you go to a huge event like this in the creative real estate world it is more than likely a “customer appreciation” event which is just a kind way of calling it a PITCH FEST. Let’s get real folks - I know we are in this business to make money but it’s time for us to bring creative real estate training/education into the 21st century and really focus on delivering VALUE to the attendees and students of our events.

That’s just my 2-cents’ worth and I can guarantee that the Virtual Investing Seminar series is going to give you 10x more value than you’ve paid for. Get fed up with the BS that these “gurus” are trying to shove down your throat and DEMAND that they take your success as seriously as YOU do.

Learn More About Virtual Investing HERE

Tomorrow I’m heading to NYC for the Inman Conference, which has a tagline of “Where Real Estate Meets Technology”. Hmmm … sounds suspiciously like the Virtual Investing Seminar ;) … but the truth is that Inman has been around a LOT longer than we have and it focuses on Realtors and Brokers and to their detriment it avoids catering to us “creative” investors. Regardless, I expect to learn lots about what technologies, websites and tools are being used by the other side and hopefully find things that can be of great interest to us.

In the ramp up to their next conference, the Inman folks have been posting video interviews from vendors at their last conference and a few I’ve found insightful. h latest video they posted really caught my eye because it was titled “Internet Marketing Trends for 2008″. I’ve included the video here so you can get an idea of how Realtors are addressing the need for n Marketing savvy (Feel free to post your comments below!) :

This shouldn’t be a “shocker” to the real estate investors who have paid attention to the tactics being employed by Virtual Real Estate Investors. Simply put, we are using the same strategies being used by so called “internet marketers” … the only difference is that instead of selling weight loss products or ebooks we are selling HOUSES. Now obviously I am oversimplyfying things for the sake of brevity but I can promise you this: The more you know about the psychology of online sales the easier it will be to grow the online aspect of your real estate business.

To prove my point, if you were to ask ANY of the top Virtual Real Estate Investors if they studied internet marketing strategies they would ALL say “yes” with no hesitation. They understand that the the new reality of real estate investing is a hybrid of traditional real estate combined with “creative” entry and exit strategies enveloped in a basic internet marketing model.

Now, to become an “expert” at internet marketing can take some time (and money), but thanks to Colin Egbert, CEO of RealEstateInvestor.com, I discovered some incredible FREE internet marketing training that should be part of every VRE Investor’s core training. The guy who put the videos out is named Armand Morin and is one of the TOP internet marketers. I have spoken to Armand several times, and even though I’m no rookie when it comes to online marketing, Armand can give me more knowledge in 5 minutes than I get in some entire seminars … and I’m only slightly exaggerating when I say that. I can’t explain why Armand is giving these videos away, but I can tell you this - I have watched them and have taken notes the entire time. My advice to you is to go to www.InternetMarketingExplained.com/blog right away and either watch these videos or download them for viewing very soon.
